Our art classes, creative workshops and studio spaces are different to traditional art classes — and that difference is intentional

Join us for a range of artist-led sessions and creative workshops in our upstairs art studios within OXYGENIC, an independent creative venue in Whitley Bay, just outside of Newcastle on the coast, close to Tynemouth, Newcastle and North Shields.

From learning how to screen print, create an instinctive piece of art or how to draw from within, our studio spaces host a range of creative experiences on the coast in Whitley Bay for anyone looking to explore creativity in a more relaxed, expressive way.

JOIN US IN THE STUDIO FOR OUR WEEKLY CREATIVE ART EXPERIENCES AND GATHERINGS

Held in the upstairs studio, with a space full of materials and a warm, spacious atmosphere. You’ll be guided into an instinctive way of painting and leave with a piece of art you have personally created.

You don’t need any experience to join and you don’t need to bring anything, everything you need will be here waiting for you.

Join as a one-off experience to see how it feels, or return regularly and let it become part of your rhythm.

These art sessions are open to anyone who is looking for a different way to connect with creativity, switch of from the world, and find another way to experience themselves, whether you have painted for years or never painted before.

Where to find us 

All our art classes and creative workshops take place in the upstairs art studios at OXYGENIC, an independent creative venue on Whitley Road in Whitley Bay.

We’re just a two minute walk from Whitley Bay Metro Station and 100 meters up from the seafront. Once inside, you’ll find a calm, welcoming space designed for creating, with different rooms across the venue supporting different ways of self discovery.

If you arrive a little early, you’re welcome to settle in, grab a drink at the bar cafe, and take your time. We want arriving to feel as easy as being here.
