OXYGENIC is a space where people, music, food, culture, art, social gatherings and embodied experience, all exist together under one roof.

Just up from the sea in Whitley Bay, OXYGENIC moves through a collection of different spaces. A public bar, café and covered terrace sit alongside a dedicated live music, private hire and event space, while our upstairs studios explore art, sound, creativity, somatic and therapeutic practice.

As a collective we are dedicated to exploring what happens when creativity is given space to emerge, where ideas can move between people and experiences lead somewhere unexpected. OXYGENIC is about creating the space for that to happen, and giving it oxygen to evolve.

And as we evolve as a venue, we want OXYGENIC to play a growing part in the creative and cultural life of the North East, bringing new ideas and experiences together and creating a space where people and communities can embrace new possibilities and creative freedom.
