OXYGENIC comes from the idea of generating energy, movement and life through people, music, creativity and shared experience.

Built from the ground up by people living and working on the coast, OXYGENIC was created to bring an energy to Whitley Bay that many felt had been missing for a long time.

More than simply a bar or café, OXYGENIC has become a place where social connectivity, creativity and grassroots culture all exist under the same roof.

Since opening, the venue has hosted everything from live bands, DJs and album launches to art exhibitions, acoustic sessions, private events and emerging artists, while the upstairs studios are beginning to build a new creative layer within the space itself.

Just a couple of minutes from Whitley Bay Metro Station and the seafront, OXYGENIC was created to give people something they previously had to leave the coast to find.
