WEEKLY ART GROUPS IN THE STUDIO WITH ZARA WATERS
BOOK AS A ONE OFF EXPERIENCE OR AS A REGULAR CREATIVE PRACTICE.
Whether you are new to art or have been creating for years, these weekly studio sessions are open to anyone who would like to explore a more instinctive and meaningful relationship with creativity.
Held in the OXYGENIC art studios, these sessions combine nervous system regulation with raw creativity, the energetic experience of the studio with awareness and reflection, helping you move beyond overthinking and into a more direct experience of creating.
You do not need any previous experience. Many people arrive convinced they cannot paint and leave with a piece of artwork they are genuinely surprised they were capable of creating.
You can come as a one-off experience to see how it feels, or return regularly and allow your artwork, confidence and understanding to deepen over time.
ABOUT THE SESSIONS
These sessions have been shaped for people who want to move away from rigid ideas of what art should be and into a more instinctive, raw and personal way of creating.
The studio is filled with materials you can explore freely: charcoal, paint, heavy papers, canvas, pastel, texture and colour. Everything is laid out so you can respond to what draws you in rather than follow a fixed formula.
There is zero focus on traditional technique, perspective, or producing a perfect copy. Instead, you are encouraged to step out of your analytical mind and create through instinct and sensory feeling.
These sessions are relaxed, welcoming and community-focused. The studio energy shifts depending on the day. Sometimes it is quiet and reflective, while other days are more energetic and experimental. You create alongside others, and groups are kept small enough for individual support and attention.
As the work develops, the artwork itself often becomes a source of insight. Images, symbols and recurring themes can reveal aspects of ourselves that are difficult to reach through thought and words alone.
What makes these sessions distinct is that they balance a professional artist’s studio with a deeply therapeutic approach to art-making.
All materials are provided and all you need to bring is yourself and clothes you don’t mind getting paint on.
