To mark the beginning of our new series of art workshops for 2026, we are hosting our first Art Social on Saturday 7TH February at OXYGENIC, Whitley Bay.

Many of you have already seen the art in OXYGENIC and asked who painted it, so this is your opportunity to dive in, with Zara, hands first, to the very first session of the new year.

This Art Social is perfect for you if:

• you have never painted before but would like to try a new creative way of expressing yourself

• if you have painted before but you want to create art that feels instinctive and personal rather than copying a set formula from a traditional class

• if you’re curious about how people across cultures have always used art to explore feeling, meaning, and inner experience, long before technique or rules

• or you just want to try something randomly creative and new

How to book your place 

Places are offered on a first come, first booked basis, and the price for the two hour workshop, including all materials and your finished piece, is just £24.

P.S. The bar and art café will be open throughout, and you’re welcome to stay after the session, have a drink and let the afternoon unfold at its own pace.
